Priorities

I will continue to work hard for you.

While I did not win the Republican party's nomination to retain my seat as your District 1 County Commissioner, that doesn't mean that I am any less committed to my current role. I will continue to do the job to the best of my ability, while adhering to my priorities. I hope you remain active in our local government.

True Transparency

I will continue open discussions with the public about what they believe is needed to be a thriving community, while keeping them updated on the current issues that are threatening our way of life.

Continued Improvement Of Our Criminal Justice System

I will work with Decatur County Court Services to ensure Wellness Court can be a successful program. I will work with the Decatur County Sheriff and Prosecutor to be sure the safety and needs of the county are met.

Long-term Planning

I will work with elected officials to make a comprehensive plan of infrastructure, building and maintenance needs for future initiatives. These can then be communicated to the council to ensure we balance those needs with current and future spending and planning.

Adequate Housing

A blighted property is a physical space or structure that is no longer in acceptable or beneficial condition to its community. A property that is blighted has lost its value as a social good or economic commodity or its functional status as a livable space. Blighted properties in Decatur County could be revitalized to allow our small towns and county to remain viable with having to build new housing developments.

Fact Based Decision Making

I pride myself on making the best, most informed decision for the people in Decatur County. I work hard to find factual information, on all sides of any issue. I want to speak to people from all walks of life, on both sides of the issues before finalizing my decision.
