I find it hard to be boastful. I do not like to brag, or to use the things I have done to shine a light on myself. I am a private person. Speaking of my military and law enforcement careers in public seems so wrong, but in this case very important information. I need constituents to know that I have been in roles to manage others, to manage money, and to make decisions that are the best for many. I make decisions based on data and facts, not emotions. I do what's right because it's right, not because someone is watching. I work hard at being the current District 1 Commissioner. I will continue to work hard if re-elected.
I would appreciate your vote in the Republican Primary.
Roads and bridges are one of the primary responsibilities of the commissioners. I was asked to assess the job currently being done and share my thoughts on what to do better.
I am proud to be a very transparent commissioner. I voted to move 50% of the commissioner meetings to the evening. I host monthly open discussions. I maintain a very active Facebook page. I encourage interactions and discussions in public. Discussions need to happen in the public.
Emily Verseman asked how you prepare for challenges and prioritize those for all of Decatur County.
Kevin Green of the Greensburg Daily News stated "While the board of commissioners wouldn't be the only government entity involved with any decisions that are made in the future, the idea of solar farms is a hot topic in Decatur County right now." He then asked each candidate weigh in on where we stand and what could be done to attract or prevent solar farms from developing. Here is my response.
